THIS AGE OF EATING

Never in history have humans eaten so much,

 so constantly and so incorrectly

The start of my Amazon Ebook and Paperback entitled

This Age of Eating - Time to Change

Hopefully it will inspire people to get healthier, lose weight permanently and reduce the amount of animals slaughtered

Never in history have humans eaten so much, so frequently, so constantly and so incorrectly.

We all must eat but few of us study what we eat. We often just consume what we fancy and not what is good for us.

Many of our eating habits stem from childhood and our parents’ ways, later from social influences and pressures and always from constant every day high pressure advertising by the food industry.
Fast food, takeaways and the mass of carbo, fat, sugar, processed and chemical loaded items available is resulting in about half of modern humans becoming overweight.

It’s an Age of Over Eating, a time when the world seems obsessed with food and at a time when there was never more of it available.

TV programmes and magazines are constantly flooded with cookery shows, food talk and recipes. Mostly the food portrayed is fattening and unhealthy fare with little thought for good health -but media publicity constantly encourages us to eat.

The rush for meat, carbs, sugar and fatty creations is creating major health problems for children as well as adults. In addition food demand is causing drastic damage to the planet and water supplies particularly in relation to meat production.

We simply eat too much - and of the wrong things. Obesity is causing a fortune in health services and this is likely to increase.
It has been estimated that half of the world is overweight. That is certainly true in Australia that is officially 50 per cent overweight in all age groups - including children.

Obesity and bad eating is an increasing headache for governments because it results in bad health and illness and this costs lots of money and loss of production in economies.

Eventually you see tax increases to cover health costs and increased rates by health providers. We need to

Eat to be Healthy
Eat to Lose Weight
Eat to Save the planet
Eat to Protect the Environment and Wildlife
We Need to Study Our Food
