How is it that one person can decide the fate of an animal species and not the people? How can one person be allowed to order the mass murder of animals? Surely this is wrong.
I refer to reports that UK prime minister May will allow fox hunting and permit ivory dealing although both were previously banned.
The ivory matter is also contrary to the declared aims of members of the British Royal family to protect wildlife and stop Ivory poaching.
Both subjects are against the will of very many people in the UK and the world who want protection for animals and wild life.
What gives Theresa May the individual right to make such decisions without reference to the British public? Surely matters of animal welfare need universal discussion and voting by the public.
The same applies to tyrants like US President Donald Trump and Australian deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce. Both have a blatant disregard for animal welfare.
Trump, who sons kill imprisoned wild life on farms and call it hunting, has even authorised the murder of wild animals in hibernation.
Joyce has totally ignored massive pleas from the electorate and increased the rate of live exports knowing full well the horrible cruelty involved in this wicked trade.
People like these have no care for animals - yet they can make decisions which result in mass murder and go against the wishes of the electorate. They permit, they order, they condone, they authorise - the mass murders.
What happened to democracy?
Our fellow animals are sentient beings. They are intelligent and have emotions the same as ours. They know pain and joy, happiness and sadness. They love their young and have a right to life.
Surely it is time we humans regarded our fellow life on this earth with empathy and compassion and gave them rights and justice - and not leave their fate to the whim of hateful politicians who only priorities are money and vanity.
Don't let politicians get away with murder.
