RELIGIONS KILL ANIMALS

AmazonRELIGIONS  kill animals for sacrifice - and still consider themselves holy and compassionate.

Worse than that religions do not include all other life, other beings of our land, air and sea - in their beliefs.

Most say it is wrong to kill but that only applies to humans. The cruelty and immorality of using  fellow beings for food, sport  or entertainment is condoned by religions.

Religions dictate that man is lord of the earth and can do whatever he wants to other life on the planet - like hunting it, using it for cruel sport, for entertainment, breeding it to slaughter for meat and money.  Man is somehow regarded superior with the right to kill and torture other creatures.

Religions even dictate the way in which animals should be slaughtered for meat - disgusting methods that represent gross animal cruelty.

Truly ugly aspects of religious animal cruelty are seen at various sickening festivities where millions of animals are uselessly slaughtered in the name of some god. Why a god would want such pain, suffering and slaughter is beyond me -  yet people think of it all as being "good".

Personally I think it is time world religions review their attitudes towards the welfare of all animals, wildlife, Nature and the environment.  It's time to update.

Slitting the throat of some poor creature for religion's sake is a savage and murderous act that belongs to the dark ages. There is no goodness in such killing and no logical justification for it. It certainly does not help this already violent world.

Life is already full of suffering and such slaughter does nothing to ease it.  People's own suffering might ease if their attitude towards animals was more gentle and compassionate.

Religion generally is dogma telling people what to think but maybe it is time people started thinking for themselves. It might make the world a better place.
