MUSLIMS CELEBRATE WITH MASS SLAUGHTER OF ANIMALS

The recent worldwide  slaughter of animals for the Muslim Eid-al-Adha festival was a public exhibition of the cruel mass murder of fellow sentient beings.

Many thousands of cattle, goats and sheep were  publicly butchered alive in parks and on streets while Muslim families- including children - watched the killing and bloodshed.

The slaughter is called a celebration to commemorate the mercy of Allah - yet shows no mercy for the terrified animals as they are cut to pieces while still conscious and their blood floods the streets.

Personally I find this mass killing for religious purposes outdated and totally disgusting. I am amazed that people can still believe that practices like these can be of any good at all.

Other religions also make religious sacrifices of animals and claim it is "tradition"  but because something has been done repeatedly in the past does not mean that it is right to do in the present.

As Isaac Bashevis Singer said: "According to this logic, we should not try to prevent people from killing other people, since this has also been done since the earliest of times."

If you wish to see photos of the "celebrations" please go to the Daily Mail  at

I must also mention that these methods of animal slaughter are typical in Muslim countries and not entirely unique to the festival.

The horrific animal killing methods have resulted in mass protests to Ban Live Exports to such countries - a protest that continues and hopefully will never end until such cruelty ceases.
