BIG W WORTHLESS FOR ANIMAL WELFARE

I wrote to Woolworth's BIGW to object to their sponsorship of the Warwick rodeo event that resulted in animals suffering cruelly and being damaged.  Below is the BIGW reply and my reply to that
It's obvious that these corporate desk jockeys don't have a clue about the REAL priorities and values in life and have little or no genuine respect for animals.

Good afternoon James,

Thank you for sending us an email with your thoughts on the incident that
occurred at the Warwick Rodeo event recently.

We want to assure you that this matter is important to us at BIG W. BIG
W has and continues to be respectful of the welfare of all animals.

BIG W is also supportive of community events. We have sponsored the
Warwick Rodeo event because one of our national distribution centres
is located there and are a major employer of local people.

We are continuing our talks with the event organisers to ensure that
all relevant animal welfare practices were followed. We want to assure
you that our respect of animals will remain an important consideration
 in all our decisions.

We thank you for your understanding during this time,

The BIG W Team

Thank you for your unsigned reply but I am sure you can please local people there
in other more civilised ways than the promotion of animal cruelty. You seem to miss
the point that the total activity of rodeo is wrong for animals and that the idiots with
the big hats can not be relied on in relation to animal welfare and are not likely to
be qualified for it anyway. If you are not withdrawing sponsorship then I  and my
family and friends will withdraw our custom from Woolworths in toto.

You don't seem to realise that new times are coming in relation to animal welfare
worldwide and that  consumer attitude is changing dramatically. Cruelty to animals
will not be tolerated and support is growing constantly.

Finally, if you did have respect for animals then you would not condone cruelty
to them, especially for the sake of entertainment and some big hats making money.

Disappointed,
